Joes?) version of the British Boer War era 4.7" Naval Gun.

This was the original inspiration



which was based on this (the 4.7" bore works out to 120mm, hence the 1/6th scale project idea).


Here's the barrel, which weighs in at 11lbs.


The bore is gorgeous, but my photography skills can't capture that.



and here's one of the pair of cast-iron wheels (apx 13 1/3" diameter, with apx. 1" axle shaftway). Each wheel weighs 17 lbs.


This package could be turned into a muzzle loader, or some bagged-charged Whitworth breechloader, or even some oddball cartridge gun based on .50 cal Browning cartridges (DD?). Or just go with the barrel for your rifle project.

Nice rifle for a display, jeep or you could shoot subcal in it. The firing mechanism snaps and works fine. It has a dummy barrel per the demill but the dummy barrel looks the same as original, also there is a hole on the bottom of the bell per the demill but cannot be seen unless you look up from the bottom. Indirect fire sight included, but no elbow. I have attached pictures that show the gun and the engraving on the back of the breech. One shot case included for display or to use as a base of a subcal unit. The gun is very long. I am planning on going to SAR West in december and could deliver. $2,250 plus actual shipping costs. Does not included pictured tripod. Tripod could be sold seperate for $750. (Sorry, I don't know why the right hand side of the picture is getting cut off. See the links). Regards
