Well, let me say this about weather it'll cycle or not, if the Germans made it work in the MG3, I can make it work in a 1919. Period.

Sherman... they made it work in a G-3, not an MG3 to my knowledge, which is what they're calling an MG-42 these days. In the G-3, it's a pure blowback deal. No roller locking required or wanted.

BTW, wanna sell that G-3 rollerless bolt?

Just a heads up, not trying to hijack the thread but www.dansammo.com Has both the plastic ammo and the rollerless bolt carrier for the G3. Dans a very good guy to deal with also.

Don't want to sell the bolt, works too good in my 91 clone. Dan's still lists them on his web site, when I talked to them a while ago, they were trying to get some of the MG 3 training bolts. So, it seems the Krouts must have used them in the MG 42/G 3 platform. Think I'll get another one and cut it down for my 51 clone, that little blue pill screams out of the 91 at about 4200 fps and it should be a BLAST out of the 8 1/2 barrel.

Anyone try this stuff in a milsurp 308 bolt gun? I have a 308 Enfield, and a 100 yard range.

Well, it'll go bang, if that's what you're asking. Will it do anything to a piece of paper at 100 yards? Kinda doubt it, but hey... give it a go. At the very least, you'll be making noise for cheap, but then you could've had a better deal with Tony's blanks for $30 a thousand.

I am referring to the blanks from Tony's, as I have a ton of those- I take it these are not the same thing?

Well, the Germans say this stuff is lethal to 300 meters, in my 91 clone it shoots 3 inch groups 4 inches low at 50 yards on a still day. I sure wouldn't want to be down range at 2 or 2 hundred yards, might be a problem. As far as the Ceteme, I would think if you removed the rollers and also removed about 1/3 of the bolt and carrier weight it should work. Why not try to find a junky bolt and carrier and give it a try??? The recoil spring is unchanged in the HK so that's not an issue, you might need to set the extractor a bit deeper to account for the smaller case head. Carbide centercutting endmills should easily make swiss cheese out of the carrier.

I have used the blue .308 training ammo from the Sportsman's Guide in a Ishapour Enfield and it would sucessfully cause Tannerite to detonate at about 25 yard's. Really supprised me. The Blue Ammo I have, was purchased about two years ago. If you don't believe it, stop by and I'll let you prove it. Have not tried it much passed 25 yards.
