The 42 parts lasted less than 12 hours. The 53 parts went up several days later.

if you lok at the photos closely you will se the insides are filled with slag, they have been cut hard. there is also a possibility that they are from different receivers. I have done enough work with the 42 to know what is useable and what is a waste of time. personally I feel putting one of these together from a bunch of mismatched scrap sections is not worth the effort .

Thanks Pirate. Was wondering what you saw in these. If they had removed the internals on these receivers maybe they would not have been such a mess when cut up. What a difference between these and the old I/O cut receiver pieces.

Guess also there are some real good alternatives these days for receivers that make messing with these not really worth the pain.

You are the one, true MG-42 God.........Okay maybe not God, but you have uber more experience than any of us meer mortals
