Default Pawl spring

Hows' your belt-holding pawl spring? I had one of those crap on me which let the feed lever and topcover pawl push the ammo backwards after two pulls. Thusly leaving a spent link in the feedway instead of pushing it out. Also, cut a strip of soda-can to put in the feedway to see if you might have too much clearance below your topcover. All just guesses. J

It does it both hand cycling and when actually shooting. I tried the metal strip in the feedway and that did not help either. Belt holding pawl spring is good. I know this has gottaq be simple and it is just driving me crazy!

The links are shoved too far onto the rounds. If you back them off then it will be ok.

I be damned! That was it. Ran 500rds in about 15min today and the only problem was when the extractor fell out. I put it back in shot some more and the pin started to back out so when I got home I just staked it. Thanks for the help!
