snooks update battle with H1N1 and ARDS
user "REAL SNOOK" battle with H1N1 and Acute Respitory Distress Syndrome
My brother is awake finally after 32 days , he is still on the ventillater and has a Tracheotomy , he is slowly recovering , he fliped me off and was pissed at me when I told him he can't have a drink of water or ice chips for a while, so I knew my brother was comming back around then for sure.
the doctor says this is going to take months of therapy to get him back to 100% but expects him to make a full recovery with time and alot of work.
So I thank god he is awake everyday , he doesn't understand or even know what hes been through and someday I may tell him but for now I am just happy for the little things and am happy he still here.
I love you Bro

Glad to hear he survived it and is on the road to recovery. Tell him we are all pulling for him here, too. And that he needs to get well so he can get back to surfing the forum!

I am glad he is doing better, its amazing how fast life can go south and without warning. We should all be thankful for whatever good health we have. My Grandfather always said "if you think your bad off look around, you can always find someone worse" I am sure you had never been so happy to get flipped off. Hang in there, Hotch

That's great news. I imagine the best thing you can do is to encourage him through all the hard work that recovery will bring. Be sure he knows that all his beltfed brothers are here for him too!
