Soft case for 1919a4 with A6 stock?
I have my 1919A4 set up with a carry handle and A6 stock. The bipod is quick destach, so taht is not an issue, but thus far i can't find any sort of soft case long enough to accomodate the beast! I like to have ti cased so as not to freak out my neighbors in my apartment or have it in plain site in my car when transporting to the range, and I would prefer to leave the stock on.
Anyone have any ideas? At a guess, the case woudl need to be 60" long. I don't have a flash hider, just a stnadrd WWII A4 30-06 booster on it, and it will probably stay that way.
One other thing if I had my druthers would be dual zippers on the case so i can have the carry handle stick out the top of the zipped case if necessary for easy carry.
Thanks,
Dawg

I don't have a link right now, but look at some of the .50 cal cases that are out there. I'm just not sure if they would be wide enough for the 1919 though. Good luck.

I use a surplus Israeli "bazooka bag". It already has a heavy duty shoulder strap and no one can tell what's inside. It doesn't offer much pritection, nut it does offer "concealment".

Real men's guns like the 1919 don't get soft wimpy cases, they get strong wood transit cases!

Aaahhhh! But soft whimpy cases fold up nicely so they fit in the safe! That way I don't have to get my apron dirty by having to dust it twice a week.

Hey I hate dusting too but, you have room in your safe for padded gun cases? Either that is one hellahuge safe or you need more guns.

[quote=Paper;220210..... Either that is one hellahuge safe or you need more guns.[/QUOTE] not really, and YES. It's only a 30 gun safe with 50 guns stuffed in it.

I already tried lugging it in a Storm Case I have, but getting it up and down a flight of switchback stairs in my apartment plus having to lug it a long way through muddy ground, plus the added 20+ pounds of the case just ain't cutting it.
Hmm, I like the idea of the Bazooka bag- anyone have a link?
My other thought was to use one of the 'parachute cases' from Cheaper Than Dirt they have for $20. The stock would stick out of the top, but the shoulder straps would allow me to throw it on my back, and to boot it would act asa mat and catch cloth for the links when shooting. I could also throw something over the stock when transporting.

What about a transit case with wheels like a dolly? Easy to roll up and down stairs. Make them removable so it will stack.

I haven't been able to find a soft case for my 1919 but I don't worry if people see it. Most people won't know or care what what it is anyway. I ended up making my own wood case/chest (looks a lot better than soft or plastic cases).
