He has the bugs worked out on this conversion as I already shot out one barrel using Emory's crankfire. Plus he is very helpful on any issues you might incounter.

Default His Conversions Work Well

I have a F/A gun set up by Troy and have shot over 5K Rds. through it. The important thing to remember is to get consistent quality ammo. It's very important to headspace the gun for each mfg. of ammo as there is a difference between the Czech, Hungarian, Russian, etc. Once you understand this, then I believe it's the best conversion going for the 1919A4. Troy is also very helpful in working out any issues/questions that you might have.

I wish he could come up with a 5.45X39 conversion, that would be awesome.

How hard would it be to make a shorty barrel and cut off the rear and rechamber, rethread and reindex the barrel?

Yeah, but your talking about a 30 caliber hole for basically a 223 bullet. I think new barrels would have to be made.

Whoa- make a 5.45x39 conversion and you would be upgraded to "Legendary" status in my book... What would be used for links, though? Would it be a special cloth belt?
