1919a4 Parts Kit Review, Part 2 Gun Parts Corp. - .308 1919a4 Parts Kit The 1919a4 .308 kit from Gun Parts Corp. arrived with all the parts intact and in better than average condition. The box they arrived in was padded with newspaper, as were all the individual parts inside. Although in general the parts kit is comparable to the others reviewed in this article, one feature of the Gun Parts Corp 1919a4 parts kit stands out. Unlike the others, the bottom plate on this kit is not removed from the left sideplate, so you won't have to re-rivet that side when you're building your semi 1919a4. The left side plate and bottom plate are perfectly square, and the rivets have been ground off of the right side of the bottom plate cleanly (the marks can be seen in the picture of the complete parts kit above--click on the image for a larger view). The trigger box and lock frame were in great shape, with a typical amount of grease left on them. The barrel had a clean bore, and the barrel jacket didn't have any major pitting or dents (actually all of the parts arrived in great shape, with no dents, dings or gouges). The barrel jacket arrived attached to the barrel extension, which can be seen in the pictures below.
