    C&R FFL Question....

    Hey guys..

Been a C&R collector for years but never let a gun go... Yet...

But now, I want to sell one of my Lee Enfields to a friend..

Do I just put him in my bound book as who that I'm transfering the gun too ?

Or, do I need to have him fill out a 4473 ?

I think there's a special form for pistals, but long guns ?

    Thanks for the help

    Tim

4473 does not apply to C&R (see 27 CFR 478.124 - licensed dealer, manufacturer, importer), as for dispo records, I am getting lazy in my old age - how's abouts you read up on 27 CFR 478.125(f).... page 67 in your reg book.

The college education courtesy of Uncle Sugar after I got out didn't hurt either. (Well, it did hurt from time to time, but you know what I mean.)

Just log his name and address; if he's a C&R or 01FFL his license number should be recorded; the bound book I use also has a space for date of birth for non-licensees. No difference for handguns or long arms. Buyer doesnt have to fill out anything.
