This looks like an A4 top cover. Near the hole on the underside it is marked with a W in a circle. Could it be early?.....A2?.....Any ideas?

Thanks

Well, it probably started it's life as a Westinghouse 1917. Check to see if there are any rivet holes that were filled in, two about 5/8 from the rear edge and two more about an inch back from the front where the elevated sight box sat. Any more pics than that?

There's no sign of rivet holes having been filled towards the front. I'm leaning towards early tank gun or aircraft gun....

Did they use Westinghouse guns for the building of AC guns? From all I have read they were mostly COLT and I figured they would use their owne parts??? I would love to know myself so keep us posted, Hotch
