    Pricing info

    Hey guys,
I have a few small lots of brass (100 or less) that I'd like to sell at an upcoming local club show. I've searched for pricing, but have found numbers all over the place. What I'd like to know is, what is a fair "selling" price for the following brass, All of it is once fired, and in good condition.

    .50 BMG
    44 REM MAG
    45-70 Govt
    10mm Auto
    .40 S&W
    .38 Spl+P

    TIA for any input,
    Ed

    Thanks for the prompt responses.
Gene, that is the kind of input I was looking for, thank you.

Rick, only 65 pcs, not enough to make it worth shpg, or driving for.

.30-.40 cents each on the 50 BMG stuff, most guys shy away from stuff fired from an M2. If it wasn't properly headspaced it can ruin a piece of brass on the first firing.

If it was fired from a bolt gun then people will want it as they don't stretch brass as much. Some guys have got as many as 20 reloads out of their brass fired from a bolt gun. As long as you don't load them to hot, anneal them about every 3-5 loadings... Good brass can fetch as much as a dollar each, surplus .50-.60 cents.

How much .50 brass do you have and what are the Headstamps on them? Might be interested in them if you have at least 100 or more.

Chopper pretty much nailed it on the other brass, if you want it gone, price it accordingly.

    ...before 1995....

Several .50BMG reloaders have suffered split cases and head separation with .50BMG Lake City and WCC brass made after 1995. Seems that the alloy used for military brass has been cheapened just to prevent the reloading of .50BMG. I have stayed away from any military .50BMG brass made after 1995 and have not seen any problems. It did not make any difference if the rounds were fired from a FA,semi or bolt gun....all had problems with later made brass cases. Purchase accordingly....FYI.

Appreciate the help guys. The .50 cases in question are LC 93 fired from a bolt gun, but I only have a handful....not enough to make it worthwhile shipping.
