    WTB: MG42 AA Tripod

I see Apex has them, but they are too much for me. If you have one you can let go for a reasonable price it would be much appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Tall

That is pretty much the going rate these days for a decent one, unless your looking for something rusted and beat up.
I highly recommend APEX as they are always great to deal with and quick to respond should a problem arise.

I expect the shipping charge from Colorado to come in a bit lower than what it costs to ship from the Netherlands.
What amount / percent of duty does US Customs charge on items like this?

The only way to obtain one of these on the cheap is to find a person who bought one long ago and is really wanting it out of the basement.
I think that is what the OP is wanting, and why he started this thread...
I am sure the usual places were already checked before he made the post.

I think your price is very reasonable. I sold 2-3 of them last year on GB starting price $350 all went over $400

Richard, you have a pretty decent price on these, that,s the reason i posted the link, just to show the differance
a man can always have the luck finding shomething cheaper, but in general these wil be hard to find cheaper, and......it,s just a matter of time.
getting these from the goverment surpluss in germany is alreaddy not possible anymore, they dont have a single one to sell
only some dealers have some left , and when they are out , and the demand is still there, prices wil go up for sure..

about tax,... i never heared from any buyers that they needed to pay any tax, iff so they did not tell me.
but i guess there are many members here to whom i have shipped tripods to, so mabay they can fill us in here about paying taxes
    regards, john
